    Irfan thumbnail logo corrupted?

    I wonder if anyone can help please, my thumbnailed pics with the red cat, dog logo, have a grey square with a white diagonal through them.
    Any ideas?

    It seems that your picture files are not longer associates with IrfanView!

      When clicking on a pic it loads with Irfanview. The red thumbnail logo is there, but in the bottom l/h corner is the grey square..

              Maybe it's just the IV exe that is corrupted... have you tried to reinstall it?

              IrfanPaint is now open-source (released under BSD license).

                No, that's an overlay -- note that the IV icon shown in the "opens with" line is normal. That overlay turned up in my search in more than one forum thread with a question about it, and the consensus answer points at Norton.

                    Well, that's it then. If you follow the link I posted a few steps back, it explains it and shows how to get rid of the overlay.
