    MrSID Images

I have a series of aerial photographs in MrSID format - all ±25 000 x 25 000 pixels. I use these as background in GIS applications. Converting these MrSID files to TIF or JPEG results in the resolution being 'halved' with the TIF files being 12 500 x 12 500. Am I doing something wrong, or what?? I obviously would like the TIF files to retain the original resolution

    Hi africanon,

Check that 1/1 is selected for Options > Properties/Settings > PlugIns > MrSID options.

Before you post ... fill in your OS and IV version in your profile.

      HI Laurent

Thanks for the reply. However, the setting is set at 1/1 and still the resolution is halved. it could be that the file size may be too large for IV to handle. If I load smaller MrSid images they are loaded correctly at the full resolution. Any ideas?

I am having this exact same issue.

Is there a limitation on pixel dimensions or is there a setting I am missing? I have it set to 1/1.

IV version 4.28 on Windows XP SP3.
