    Batch tiff rename - can I do it in Irfanview?

    Hi,
    I have a tiff renaming task to complete and need some help please.
    I have approx 1,500 tiffs named sequentially as follows Vol 2-001 through to say Vol 2-1500.
    I need to change the names to say 0130 to 1650.

    So, I am removing the "Vol-" reference and changing the sequence start number.

    Can I / how do I do this in Irfanview? Or are there any other suggestions.

    Any step by step advice would be appreciated.

    Hi Beverage,

    Look at the Options for Batch rename settings in the Batch conversion dialog. Does this the job?

      Another option would be to download and install the free version of FileRenamer from http://www.sherrodcomputers.com/ and use it. It's extremely powerful with every kind of renaming option, and allows you to preview the results before performing the rename operation. I really like it.
