Replace a color in many images?

I have many images that are supposed to have white backgrounds -- but the backgrounds are not quite white. They may be 255 / 253 / 254, for example.

I want to batch-replace all the almost-white colors with actual white. Can I do that?

(I'd even be happy if I could just replace one color.)
