Do you know of any problem with installing IrfanView on an administrative-level restricted workplace environment?
I ask that 'cause I have IV installed on my three Windows 7 home PCs (32-bit Home Basic, 64-bit Home Premium and Professional) and it's running OK on all. I log on to all of them without passwords, I think this says the type of their user accounts.
I tried to install IV on my workplace 64-bit W7 Ultimate PC and it required admin privileges, so I asked the IT guy to install it. Problem is, after both IV and its plug-ins are installed, then I open IV and close it, W7 launchs the Program Compatibility Assistant dialog, and even if we check the This program installed correctly option on the dialog, the problem persists: I open and close IV and there it is: the Program Compatibility Assistant dialog again, ad infinitum...
The IT guy tried every option available on the Program Compatibility troubleshooter TNA!
No matter if installed for all users or the current user only, we get the same results.
Any ideas?
