iTunes ITC2 Cover Art Support?

I read on another forum that irfanview could batch convert iTunes coverart cached files (stored in ITC2 format).

I tried one (with iTunes 10) but it does not get the format.

So I'm doubting is it either not supported OR is there a plugin needed OR is iTunes 10 different than iTunes 8 (referenced in the forum) OR did the other forum not do it at all with Irfanview

The first link in your reply is the reason I came here "i actually have ended up using IrfanView - search for all ITC files and put them in one folder - then do a batch convert into JPEG - seems to work a treat!!!", this is why I came looking for the solution here.

(found that link) ---> ( came here ) ---> ( get reference back ) --> start over

The rest of the links are either tools for downloading coverart or "how to find coverart".

I think your answer is "NO Irfanview does not support ITC2 and not one of the plugins" ?

The reason I'm interested in ITC2 is that I want to prepopulate the iTunes cache (see: http://superuser.com/questions/21448...t-itc2-caching )
