    Test line in the ini file

    In the IrfanView ini file, I noticed:
    Test=1

    Any ideas what this setting does? Is it a slight error?

    Irfan has provided test versions for some quick bugfixes, so this sounds like an option to switch a fix on/off. Default installation doesn't include the line.

      Thanks orbik. Note that my default installation of v4.28 included TEST=1 in the ini file, so there might be a little problem, not sure. I used the setup version straight from the official site, and verified the md5 after downloading.

        If you delete your ini file and let Irfanview create a new one then v4.28 does put that TEST=1 line in the [Others] section. I suspect that it might indeed have been put in for a test version and left in by accident.
        I doubt the entry does any harm, but it works fine without it. So if it worries you just delete the line and resave.

          It may be of interest to fix if it is in fact a little bitty error. Although now that new installations all have TEST=1 in there, I'm not sure exactly the best way to fix it for everyone! Not that it is a big issue or anything.

          BTW, Irfanview is great! Thank you to Irfan and everyone who contributes in any way!
