    Taking shot of Website?

I would like to take a copy of my husbands website in full size. If I were to do this, I believe the size would be somewhere like a 12X18 photo (or) as big as the sceen itself. Please correct me if I am wrong. Can I send this into a conversion that could be set as a photo to be framed in as big as I would like it to be..?? And how would I do this.?? I have the photo of the website in full size saved to my pictures. I am lost now what to do next in order to accomplish what I am set out to do. Thank you in advance for any or info on my adventure..

The screenshot (I assume that is what we are talking about) that you have will print at screen size if the DPI (dots per inch) is set the same as your screen. To see what the current setting is, and to change it, open the image in IrfanView and press "I" on the keyboard. The dialog that opens will tell you what the current DPI setting is (if any), and what size it will print at. If the print size is OK, you don't have to do anything. If the print size is too small, the DPI setting should be reduced. 72 is common for Windows -- unless it has been changed, usually for reasons of visual accessibility.

Anyway, do the "I" thing and see what.

Any changes you make to the DPI will not be saved in the image unless you re-save the file. I f you do so, I suggest saving it with a different name -- "Save as" -- in order to preserve the original.

      Hi,

      another solution:

You can print the website, just use print to file and set "tiff" or something (other graphic format when possible) as the output format. So you are not limited to your screen resolution!

"print to file" does not work that way, in my experience. Nor does printing to PDF Creator and saving as an image give very good results. No matter what the browser's print settings, backgrounds and other details can get messed up. Direct printing with a good color printer might work better -- or not. There are too many unknown variables. If a better image of the site were needed, one could use Nir Sofer's "SiteShoter" or other free webshot software. However, the question as I understand it is how to make sure the image prints at the right size. If the currently available image is satisfactory, there's no need to complicate things for an inexperienced user.
