Transfering Photos

Here lately i can save a photo from my Documents folder to my Desktop but it saves it in black & white instead of the color it is. Why is it doing this? it never has.

What are your settings in:
- \Options\Properties/Settings...\JPG/PCD/GIF\ → "Load as grayscale ..."
- \File\Save as...\ → "JPEG/GIF save options"

The Grayscale option is not checked.....The Photos are saved in color in my documents folder but when i move a copy of it to my desktop, it is displayed in black & white.

Please make sure that you don't set "save as grayscale" in the "Save As" dialog!

Difficult to see why a copy of the same file should behave differently when viewed from your documents folder to when it is displayed from the desktop. Are you opening it in exactly the same way each time and, if you have more than one, in the same copy of Irfanview?

There is also an option "Load as grayscale" in the JPG/PCD/GIF tab of Properties/settings that needs to be unchecked.
