    Images no longer open in Irfanview from Opera webpages

    Several upgrades ago Opera stopped automatically using Irfanview to open images. Under Tools,Preferences ,Advanced,Downloads there is a box to fill in with the address of the Irfanview.exe file to use, and a box to tic to force this use. But still no joy!

    One of the Glories of Opera was rapidly scanning beautiful Irfabview pictures from pages full of mere thumbnails, without having to open and close each file sequentially.

    Any suggestions?

    I am not sure what Irfanview would do with a Web address if it was passed to it. I should try unticking that box in the Opera dialog.
    You have also scrolled the box displaying the Irfanview location so that we cannot see if you still have the quote marks in the same positions as in the box above. The quotes are probably essential if the location address contains spaces.

      I'll try those fixes,
      but, the unsettling thing is I think an Opera upgrade broke something. as it worked fine set up like that for years.
      Opera is a lot like the old Quattro Pro-Microsoft Excel chase--where the better product (in my mind...) kept ahead of the eventual winner in usability by Leading it (;

        Hi,

        what happens if you choose "open with default application" -> donĀ“t edit the IrfanView path, but please make sure that you include the "%s" variable
