How do I paste an image onto another image?

All,
I would like to be able to paste a smaller image onto a larger image already in IrfanView. It can be accomplished in Paint, but IV is so much better at all else, I'd rather use that instead.

In order to paste an image onto/into a target image, you need to make a selection, into which the source image will be copied. Ideally you will make the selection the same size, or at least the same ratio, as the source image. - It's best to make yourself familiar with the "Create Custom Crop Selection" dialog (via Edit menu or shortcut SHIFT+C). There is a chapter for that in the IrfanView Help (sub-chapter to "Edit Menu").
