I am new to the forum but joined as I have a problem between my CR2 files and Jpegs. I have used IrfanView for a very long time and have had no problem. In the past I have gone through my photos and the CR2 files look exactly the same as the Jpegs when scrolling through them. I opened up IrfanView the other day and had a message to download the new Plugin version which I did as I couldn’t open any CR2 files until I did. Since then there is a marked difference between the two. I am also confused as on some photos the CR2 is darker and the Jpeg lighter and on others it is the other way around – the CR2 lighter and the Jpeg darker, really dark and I am sure that didn’t take the photo in that way. I am confused by these reversals as it were since I download the updated Plugins.
