    Incorrect video orientation while playing

    Hello

Some (but not all) videos recorded using my smartphone are played by Irfanview with incorrect orientation. However, thumbnails are displayed correctly in every case.
Therefore I would like to ask if there's a way to rotate a video while playing or maybe is there a way to configure IrfanView to recognize the orientation properly?
I tried to play the videos with Windows Media Player, Media Player Classic, VLC and Pix for Linux, and all four recognized the orientation correctly.

    Thank you.

I guess horizontal videos look right and vertical videos look wrong. That's because phones are kinda lazy and instead of rotating the recorded video, they just add rotation tag in metadata. The video player has to rotate the video accordingly.

Video player in Irfanview is very basic and limited, suitable just for quick preview. You wouldn't want to watch movies in IrfanView. Please use a proper video player for playing such videos. Even better, please don't record videos in the vertical position, it looks bad when played on TV or computer screen.
    My system: IrfanView 4.62 64bit, Windows 10 22H2, Intel Core i5-3570, 16GB RAM, NVidia GTX 1050Ti 4GB
