How can I change default save format for TIFF to TIF not JPG

Many of the scanned files I receive and need to edit are in TIFF format.

When I go to save the files after editing Irfanview is automatically saving them as JPG even though it automatically saves TIF files as TIF.

I need the output in TIFF or TIF as that is the preferred format for Scantailor - the program I use to prepare the scans for printing to books and it is getting very annoying to have to manually select the output file type on each and every page. My other option may be to manually change all TIFF files to TIF in file explorer and I am concerned that could turn to custard real fast.

Is there an Irfanview setting I can change that will save them as TIF (or a software option to rename the TIFFs to TIFs).

Use the File - Save As option. This uses the folder and file format, which were used previously.

Thanks - that solved it though the first save I needed to do the whole select folder etc thing. The next three work perfectly
