    Closing an irfanview file

    Hi there,

As a newbie I'm still feeling my way around irfanview.

I'm not sure how to close a file once I'm done with it.

Ex. I copy an image into clipboard and paste it into irfanview. I make changes and save it. But, how do I get to a blank screen to work on the next unrelated image?

In Open Office, I can choose File > Close and close the current file and it automatically reverts to a blank screen so I can type in or paste in new content.

I don't know how to get to the irfanview blank screen once I'm finished with an image.

    Thank you for your help.

Unlike software with a multi-document interface, such as Office, IrfanView can have only one image open at a time. After you have finished working with one picture, you can directly open another or paste data from the clipboard. The old image will be closed automatically.
