Capturing images from my microscope eyepiece camera ?

I have an Amscope MD500-CK 5.0M camera for my scope.

Had a quick play around with it today to capture some images, but couldn't see how to do it in Irfan View (had to use VLC Media Player in the end).

Is this possible in Irfan View ?

I'm connecting via USB to Windows 10 desktop PC.

Go to File -> Select Scan/TWAIN source and check if your camera is there.

Nothing is listed in that window.

Does it not just "plug + play" in IrfanView ?

No I'm not sure (although I haven't checked carefully - is there a separate driver that needs installing or should it be automatically installed by Windows 10 ?).

o if not then I won't be able to capture images from it in IrfanView ?

I've now checked on the Amscope website and it appears this camera does support twain - so will I have to install this myself or should Windows do so automatically when detecting the camera ?

Please install the original drivers from the manufacturer.
