Solved Suddenly getting errors with Brother printer -- other apps work fine with it

I have a Brother HL-L23200 printer which I have used with IrfanView in the past. Suddenly it is no longer working. I get a spurious "Paper" message light whenever I try to print. To circumvent the problem I have been copying the image to MS Word and printing from there.

I just updated to v4.6 and the same error is persisting. ?

Have you checked the settings in the print dialogue? Try to print with 'no overflow on page' activated.
Since the printer works with word, the problem seems to lie in settings in IrfanView.

Thanks. I found the problem. The "Printer setup" source field got set to "Manual". Resetting it to "Auto select" solved it.
