    Date/Time display

My question concerns the Date/Time display when a jpg file is opened. The time displayed at the bottom of the screen (and also from the "i" button) is sometimes one hour out. as an example:
From Windows explorer, the Time part in the columns Date, Date Taken and Date Modified all display as 13:13, but Irfanview displays the time in the example given as 14:13:16.
The 3 internal dates in the jpg header are all 13:13:15.

This does not happen on all files.

    I am running Win7.

Where does Irfanview get this Time from?

I cannot explain it. On some cameras you can get a difference between the time shown in the Exif data and that shown by the file system but there should be no difference between times that Windows Explorer shows and those displayed by Irfanview. AFAIK they came from exactly the same place.

      Hi,

maybe this concern the summer / winter time setting of Windows?

Do you have an example pic?

      Regards

I tried to attach a jpg but all my pics are about 2.4 meg, and won't seem to upload. I'll see if I can reduce the size.
It may be something to do with summer time settings, but as I said, the internal times agree with the Windows Explorer figures,e.g 13:13:36, but Irfanview shows as 14:13:36. The Irfanview Exif display shows 13:13:36. Very strange!

There are some possible problems with summer time settings. See for example this article.
However as I said above I believe that Irfanview gets its file system times from the Windows system so I am surprised that you see a different time displayed in Irfanview to what you see in Explorer.
