Problem: Portrait photos are being automatically and incorrectly rotated to landscape

Recently a problem has developed. Photos taken in portrait mode are, after being edited in Irfanview, are being automatically and incorrectly put into landscape mode. I want the photo to stay in portrait mode if it was taken in portrait mode. What setting do I use to correct this problem?

Assuming you're saving your photos in JPEG format, check "Reset EXIF orientation tag" in JPEG save settings.
