EXIF info option doesn't show up

I'm currently trying to view the EXIF information on a photo I took on my Samsung phone. I downloaded the photo on my laptop and proceed to view it on the IrfanView application, but when I clicked Information on the Image tab, only IPTC info option shows up. But the application on my friend's laptop has the EXIF info. Why does mine not have it?

Also, I noticed that the IrfanView application on my laptop does not show the resolution (it's blank). But the IrfanView on my friend's laptop shows the resolution. I don't know why this is happening.

What IrfanView versions are you using?

The EXIF info button is displayed only if the image file contains EXIF data.

The two screenshots you have provided are for different images.

If you open your 338289.jpg on your friend's PC you should find that they don't see the EXIF info button either.


This article may be of use to you if your phone is saving as HEIC and then you are converting to JPG, which would lose the EXIF data.
