    Wrong default option

I appear to have 2 versions of IrfanView installed as when I double click on a pic file, the ribbon isn't there. I can use File Manager and a right click to "Open with IrfanView 64-bit" which is what I really wanted. Examples are attached.
In the 64-bit version, the file associations do not include JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP etc. and I can't save any changes. In Windows 11 settings, these extensions are nowhere to be seen and I can't add them.
    Any clues please.

This is a bug in Win11. Please follow the solution described in this topic:
I got a new Windows 11 machine. I tried to install Irfanview 4.60 64-bit. The I tried to use Iview to associate jpg files with it. But it didn't work. What happened was now I can no longer associate JPG files with any app since there is no JPG file entry in the control panel for default app file types. Win11 does something
    My system: IrfanView 4.62 64bit, Windows 10 22H2, Intel Core i5-3570, 16GB RAM, NVidia GTX 1050Ti 4GB
