For dual monitors stacked, which is one 1080p monitor on top of another (1920 x 2160), 996px is quite large when seen on one monitor with 1080p, because it leave only 84px of vertical space. Considering that 30px is taken up by the task bar, that leaves 54px of flexible height from the limit. Any more than that and the window would open oversized and I would have to adjust it every time like OP's issue. Sure, I don't exactly have that issue, but I would certainly like to have no limitations on the window size and have the freedom and flexibility of opening images at a smaller size. If anything, I would just like to know what is causing this limit?
