Two of the forum areas, "Technical documents" and "Command Line and Scripts" do not have "Post new thread" buttons, so it is not possible for ordinary users to create new content there. If this is policy then I believe it needs to be reviewed.
Many of the threads in "Technical documents" are now very dated and often contain links to Sam_Zen's website which no longer work. (Both Sam and his website being sadly missed).
"Command Line and Scripts" contains a sub-forum called "Wishes and questions". How are users supposed to post wishes and questions there if they cannot start new threads? That really makes no sense at all.
I agree strongly with the concept of having a specialist area dealing with command lines and scripts. The discussions on these do get quite technical and are probably of interest to only a minority of users, so are better kept out of the general areas of the forum, but I am sure that those who are interested in the subject would prefer to have all posts about them located there and not have to search through the labyrinth of Support, etc. to find them.
