I received a scan of 3 photos on a black album page, it was sent as a JPG attachment on an email.
When Irfanview is displaying the thumbnail of a folder of other images this thumbnail of the page shows up with 3 photos.
When clicked on, or when the JPG file is independently displayed by IrfanView, only one photo is shown..
I've looked inside and the header appears as one which I've seen in other JPG files, IE it has hex data & "JFIF" close to the beginning ... ..
I don't understand formats of the internal hex in image files.
Looking deeper internally I find what appears to be HTML-like commands,
IE
etc etc etc...
Then the pure hex continues for some time.
It appears to me that the 'thumbnail' which shows as the black album page with 3 photos, is somehow 'embedded' in the file, and shows via the IrfanView thumbnail display, but when viewed straight by IrfanView, I get only one of the pictures.
Is there a way to recover the two missing photos? Or is that file damaged in the way it appears, as described by me.
If you'd like to examine the file, I can attach or email.
Thanks Bob K.
