IrfanView cannot open attached JPG file, although other programs can open it without any problem.

No such problem here. Try moving to a folder like C:\TEMP\ and open it from there.
It's probably a problem with accented characters in the path to the folder. Is the Unicode plugin enabled in Settings, Language? This does not work with 64-bit IrfanView, so try the (recommended) 32-bit version.Before you post ... Edit your profile • IrfanView 4.62 • Windows 10 Home 19045.2486

You are right. The problem was accented characters in the path to the folder. It works now. Thanks.Comment
