In my quick test, JP2 gave better results, i.e. smaller disk size and more unique colours. I suggest that you do your own tests with a few different photos, and see which you prefer. JPG is obviously more widely supported, and loads faster. I used a quality setting of 90 in each case, but there is no guarantee that I am comparing like with like.
At high quality the file sizes of advanced formats converge closer. JPEG 2000 is a very slow format, which you might not like while loading high resolution pictures on an older computer.
