no bug Irfanview fails to copy exif data from tif to jpeg

Hi,
I used Canon's DPP to create tif files from my G1X raws. When I use irfanview to convert this to jpeg the exif data is lost. This does not occur with other conversion programs (FastStone).

It's not a bug. IrfanView doesn't support Exif data in TIF files — only in JPG files.

Take a close look at the JPG save dialogue:

OK, so its not a bug, but it is a serious deficiency. Converting from tif to jpg is very useful to reduce file sizes and Irfanview gives more jpg conversion options than DPP. I am forced to use another program to do the conversion.
