Reported PNG with transparency gets broken when saved

Version 4.50
When trying to resize a PNG with transparency, then saving it, it has afterwards a double white line around any non transparent parts.
Doing the same in GIMP works fine.

Are you saving the transparency as alpha transparency?

The problem with IrfanView is that it's internal bitmap format is only 24-bit colour.
See the image information dialogue. Better use Gimp for working with 32-bit images.
