Reported V4.25 invalid file reading, but V4.22 Normally done, XP and 7

XP Pro SP3 and Windows 7 Japanese.

When doubleclick Image file, V4.25 often act open wrong file name
    For example, doubleclick [Drive]:\Folder\Subfolder\SubSubfolder\DSC0001.jpg,
    V4.25 tries to load [Drive]:\Folder\Subfolder\DSC0001.jpg
V4.22 does not act this invalid behavior.

And the Path view in the Thumbnail view, V4.25 views character corruption and V4.22 Normal.

And important point, [SubSubfolder] above consists of some Japanese Characters KANJI.
What is different between 4.22 and 4.25?

Perhaps you have not enabled the Unicode plugin for 4.25? Properties, Language, Load Unicode plugin at program start (for filenames with non Latin characters).

I have checked to load UNICODE plugin, then errored.
When I UNCHECK to load this plugin, THIS PROBLEM HAS GONE. Why?

I do not noticed from now this plugin and also do not know if previous version is checked...

Glad your problem is sorted out, Hiro-H. Have you installed the Plug-ins for IrfanView 4.25 as well, or are you using the 4.22 plug-ins still? You must use the same-version Plug-ins to go with the IrfanView version, else irritating problems crop up...

Off course I installed 4.25 plugins.
I think that V4.25 does not need UNICODE plugin for XP and 7.
Only need for 98, Me I think...

              Dear Frank,

All right, I love IrfanView, but indeed, unchecked is NORMAL, checked is INVALID XP and 7.
I use unchecked at least to next version.
This problem is solved for me. Thanks all.
