Error when trying to create panorama image

If I try to create panorama image from 3 files (9500x9500 pix, 3,5-4 MB .tif-files), I get this error:
"Error: Can`t allocate memory for result image(s)!
Out of memory" and I get picture where only 2 images have put toghether.
I even tried to convert those files to jpeg and create panorama image then but still I get that error. I also have 1,5 GB 20000x20000 pix .tif-files in my computer and there are no problems with opening these files.
I have 8 GB RAM installed (7,5 usable because of integrated graphics card).

    Try disabling undo in properties.

Saving as JPG will make no difference at all, because its the number of pixels and colour depth that determines the amount of memory an image uses when loaded.

I disabled it but still same error.

I checked the properties of 1 .tif-file what I want to put into panorama:

Here are the properties of 1,5 GB file (no problems with opening it):

Doesn't work for me either, which is not so surprising since I only have 1 Gbyte of RAM, but even so it should just about be sufficient without undo.

I noticed that the 256 colour image changes to 24-bit colour when trying to join two images.

Try expanding the canvas and pasting the second and third images into a selection.

I tried, I can paste 2-nd image but not 3-rd, it doesn`t show any messages, just nothing happens.

              Try another program.

MS Image Composite Editor can be used to stitch images.
