Reported Too many pixels in screen capture

    Hi,

When doing a screen capture, Irfanview (4.28 & 4.30) adds 2 lines of pixels above the window captured. I haven't seen any report of this bug for v4.30, and was thinking it would be fixed for this version.

Hope the image below helps understand the problem, not that annoying since the lines can be removed, but a waste of time and a bit irritating when doing a bunch of screen captures.

    Thanks.

Which if the many capture options are you using? I tried 3. Foreground window, and it worked fine for me, except that it cleared the loaded image from the IrfanView window, which I wasn't expecting and had to reopen it.

If you want to capture the client window of IrfanView, just use Alt Printscreen, then Ctrl V — its much quicker.

Sorry for late follow-up. Capturing the Irfanview window was just an example.

      Example #1.
As you can see, there are those pixels above the title bar of the captured window.

It is reproducible anytime. It happens only when using option "Foreground window".

      Example #2.
Below are 2 other screen captures, the first using "Foreground window", the second "Custom rectangle/Region capture". Software captured: Pixie, which I use to get color values from any screen area.

I think it's interesting, because in this case the captured window does not show the black border of the window.

      To make these images:
      (1) Capture window, save image
      (2) Load saved image in Irfanview
      (3) Run another Irfanview instance, then capture the window in (2) with "Foreground window".

You will notice in each case the 2-line pixels above the title bar in the captured window.

Example #2 because I was looking for a another window to show you how it works for me. But Pixie is special in that it is always on top of anything. I wasn't expecting the Pixie border not be captured, though.

I hope I have been clear enough for you to better understand the problem.
