    Reported "No disc in drive" error

    Hello everyone!
    I have a recurring problem. Sometimes when I open a .CR2 file in IV, a prompt comes up, warning me that no disc is in drive E:. The error is titled something like "The i_view32.exe has encountered an error". Is there a way out of this? Thanks in advance!

    Try reinstalling IrfanView and its plugins.

      Ok, I tried reinstalling everything and except for losing my configuration settings, nothing happened :/

      Is there anything else I could try?

        I can only guess that its because the CR2 files are on an external drive that IV cannot access properly. Try copying them to the hard drive first before opening them.
