no bug Sort order does not get refreshed

1. Thumbnails ordered by date ASC
2. Edit & save a file in some external editor like PS
3. Focus back to thumbnails

Where is new file ? It is not at end of list as expected, it is there doh, without refresh.
It is somewhere in the midle of thumbnails.

All other files made by procedure 1,2,3 are stacking next to first such file.

If I change to other directory & back to this directory it is ok, files are at the end of list.

I do save all files made in 1,2,3 procedure ,like, if that has any influence:

...

Irfanview is not a File manager. The thumbnail viewer displays what you asked it to show at the time you selected it. If you want an update press function key F5.

Yes, clearly not a bug. I had no time to check it yesterday.

Nope, as stated, it does do autorefresh coz I can see thumbnails of new files (without doing anything, like pressing F5), they are just not at right place.
