IfranView currently uses very old File Open & Save As dialog from Win XP era. Its real pain to use on daily basis when saving image files in a variety of folders related to different subjects. When its going to be replaced with modern Windows Save As dialog used by Microsoft from Windows Vista? Is there any add-on that allows to replace it now?
The modern dialog allows to easily copy and paste a folder address, so file opening and saving in IrfanView becomes a breeze, especially when using such fast file search utilities as Everything allowing to find any folder in a split second. Pls post roadmap, clearly stating when exactly this old dialog going to be finally replaced? Sure many people will come back to using IrfanView when it actually happens, since now the program feels grossly obsolete, and purposely ignoring decades of Windows development without any regard to user needs. Usage base of Win XP is minuscule in general, and Win 10 can easily be installed on most if not all hardware running full Win XP. In any way, there is no justification for using decades obsolete major features. It simply ignores the needs of majority, makes work with IrfanView grossly unproductive, and is a major program usability and performance defect. Windows XP users can happily run older versions of IrfanView without any problems, just like they prefer to run very old OS versions.
