Requested Changing the default scan file type

I scan a lot of files and would like to be able to set the default scan file type (Color, Grayscale, B&W, or Custom) so it either remains until changed again or at least for that program session.. I have searched for a registry entry that would control this and have not found one.

Thank you for your time. The program IrFanview program is an outstanding image program!

This is a setting in your scanner software and is nothing to do with IrfanView.
