Requested Support GeoTIFF Format

Hi,

is there a possibility to read Geotiff-files?

I installed Version 4.2 and included the Plugins from the website, but it seems that there is no plugin for that.
And I can't open a Geotiff-file.

If there is no use of geotiff's it would be a nice feature for the future.

What kind of error are you getting? GeoTIFFs are just TIFFs with some additional tags. Maybe you just have to adapt the extension.

Hi,

normal Tiff-files I can read.
The error massage says, that there is an decode error and wrong or unknown tiff-file.

I downloaded a sample GeoTIF images from here and it opened OK in IrfanView, but of course IrfanView does not show any geographical data.

Do you need that data, or do you just want to open the images? Do you have a link to a file that gives an error? Many errors are caused by interrupted downloads.

I just want to see it.
I think there are differences. You are rigth, some of my Geotiff I can see with Irfanview. There is a problem with Geotiff which are created with ArcGIS, but not all of them.
