    Requested Csv csl

    Does IV support CSV ?

This RFC documents the format used for Comma-Separated Values (CSV) files and registers the associated MIME type "text/csv". This memo provides information for the Internet community.

Maybe you can implement CSV and GEDCOM and CSL ?
Or, if CSV and CSL are already supported formats,
include it in the list, please?

    Just trying to be helpful.

    Thanks Irfan !

    More info and example

Here is some more info about CSV:

    Check this website:

    and look at the file:

Opera does a poor job in displaying these data.

Irfanview can't read them at all.

If I click on the downloaded file,
    it opens with MS EXCEL.

I know, most people say: Who needs that?
But with the Ananlog to Digital transition of Broadcast TV,
there are still millions of people looking for answers.
Why are not more people speaking up?
Well, this website, as you can see, is well hidden.
    Not easy to find information.

Good luck and thanks to everybody!

But IrfanView is an image viewer. Why do you need to view CSV files as images when there are so many advantages of using a text editor — copy/paste, search and replace, etc.

That first csv file you gave as a link is a large table of data. Even if IrfanView could display it, it would be almost impossible to read.
It is intended to be opened with a spreadsheet such as Excel which will arrange all the data in columns and enable you to work with it.
IrfanView is primarily an image viewer. I agree that you are asking to use quite the wrong type of program.

I agree. I managed to almost open it in IrfanView, only to get an out of memory error. Creating bitmaps from such large files would be pointless.
