Requested Regarding Zoom, Color inversion and Palete Cycling

    Resume of the Opera:

    - Hotkey for Invert Colors
    - The Resample Zoom thing (Not sure if bug or misunderstood feature)
    - Palette cycling

    ____________________________

First, about zoom - i'm not sure if it's a bug or a feature.

Just the ability to turn on or off the resampling on zoomed images - I'm aware there is an option for such, but it seems to not work (or maybe work, but just not as i expected). You zoom a fine detail on some 1024x768 image and blam - your WHOLE image is resampled (Lanzcos?) 40x bigger so you can read that fine print.

Second, i like Irfanview because of their handy hotkeys. With F7 i am the Steve Wonder of image sorting.

But with many hotkeys on useful functions and even the novelties (like the so-wanted hotkey for canvas)...

...Why there is not a hotkey for inverting colors?

The last request is of least concern, since it would be more of a novelty for further toying with colors: Palette Cycling. It would be more useful (or "less useless"?) if it could do it either in batch or hotkeys.

Hypotetically, if i were to do that*:
    - Option to set the color step;
    - A hotkey to increment the palette colors to that step

I would say another thing to do, but the output could be quickly gathered via snapshot feature.

*if i were up to the task. Come on, i'm still at baby steps.

Feature Requests for individual hot keys are a waste of time IMO. What we need is an option to customise the hot keys however we wish. (Already requested many times) Everyone has different needs and priorities for which hot keys they prefer. I really want to remove the hot keys for setting desktop wallpaper.

Try using the existing access keys for invert image (negative): Alt I, T. Access keys are almost as quick as hot keys, and you don't have to remember them as they are shown on the menus.

The zoom resample is pretty useless, but its not a bug. I turn it off.

Then i'm better to get some eight-core CPU and some GBs of RAM, since turning that option off - in my case and several setups in a handful of machines - is about as effective as wearing goggles during a tidal wave of radioactive waste.

(Okay, i'm exaggerating, taskmanager always shut things down smoothly when that happens)

So, when i have a computer that's not that good (2003~2005 office-grade boxes), i prefer to keep 4.23 on them.

While i'm at it, getting used to irfanview command line options - never thought they were so effective (but using something like Autohotkey is more reliable than waiting Windows enable us mortals to use the hotkey we assigned to a shortcut)

Why you may not notice any change after disabling resample.
