Requested Display Option: Borderless/Frameless Window (fit window to image)

Would it be possible to have the pictures open in a borderless/frameless window? I'm thinking for when you fit image to window. I've been using IrfanView for years and I've seen another package that does this and it would be cool to have the option of a reduced clutter setting.

..but what would you use it for? I assume you are talking about a window without menus and toolbars either, like the "window" option in Irfanview slideshows.
If that is the case you could not do much with it that you cannot already do with the slideshow feature.

It would be good to reclaim some screen area when I want to look at several different pictures after I photoshop them. If you look at a program called "First Impression," they do it but it doesn't have the good functionality that Irfanview does. It would just be a cool option to have a windowless mode if that's even possible.

        OK I understand.

The frameless window option in Slideshow, called "Play in windows mode", was introduced after feature requests from users.

I can see that a similar option in the Fullscreen options menu to "Display in windows mode" might be a popular feature for the main viewer too.
There is already a feature in the viewer to hide various menus and toolbars but it is awkward to use and still leaves a frame around the image.
This new feature, by contrast, could allow the user to easily toggle between the frameless window and the normal one using the Enter key, just as at present between maximized fullscreen and normal mode. The size and position of the frameless window would be the same as for normal windowed mode so it could be set up there by the familiar dragging methods, avoiding the need for numerical settings in the Fullscreen dialog.

I was going to suggest this, a lot of image viewers have this functionality it would be cool to have it on irfanview too.

I use it with all the ui hidden already, but there's still the window border, this is the only problem for me.
