Zoom Out button on the wrong side

Most Applications like Acrobat Reader, Sumatra PDF Reader, MS Word or Firefox have the Zoom Out button on the left.
At IrfanView Zoom Out button is on the right.
It's annoying if you only try to work with the mouse.

Yes. Photoshop and its clones has Zoom Out on the right too.
But that's just the arrogance of monopoly.

How about a configurable toolbar?

This is a very old feature request has already been forwarded to Irfan Skiljan, but it has not happened yet.

I doubt if it ever will be done, but you never know.
