Correct me if I'm wrong, I tried checking through the menus several times, but I can't seem to find a command to clear a selection without altering the clipboard. The closest I can find is the Cut command which clears the selection, but modifies the clipboard. When I'm processing screenshots, I often need to redact stuff or remove things to let the autocrop function work, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do so quickly and easily without also altering the clipboard. The "Delete (Clear Display) - D" function clears the whole image, not just the selection. I'm surprised this basic function is missing. ?
