Requested Increase/decrease size arrows on print preview

Under File->Print, when the Print Preview window comes up...

It would be useful to have the "tiny up/down arrow buttons" on the number boxes for things like Custom w/h and Scale. The buttons could increment or decrement by (for example) .25

If this takes up too much space (since there would likely need to be at least four of them) then perhaps this functionality could be built into the up/down Arrow keys whenever you click into one of these boxes, and perhaps page up/down for larger changes.

Final goal: This would allow for quick, fairly accurate sizing changes using only the mouse and/or up/down keys, without repeatedly having to key and re-key guesstimate numbers. Ideal for when you're going by how the preview window appears; when you don't have a pre-determined size that you've already calculated or tested.

It might be nice, but I don't need it.
My opinion: There may some more improvements possible for the UI, but most users love this simple and very effective gui.

Thanks for responding! Just to reiterate, visually changing the UI isn't really required. I'd be ecstatic to just have it so that the up/down arrow keys change the numbers of whichever box is active. If such a function were added it may also prove useful for Tab-ing between boxes in Resize/Resample, Canvas size, Custom rotation, etc.

        Thank you,
        Mark

Its a waste of time and expensive photo paper printing images from IrfanView one image at a time unless you're using "Fit to page." Use a page layout program like PagePlus Starter Edition to arrange your images for printing. Resize and rotate them to make the best use of the paper. Add some borders, drop shadows, or text captions if you want.

Bottom line — its not worth adding the level of sophistication needed for efficient printing to an Image Viewer.

IrfanView can Save images in nearly two dozen image formats without plugins. Roughly half of the available Save formats offer an entire additional dialog of comprehensive format-specific options. The default installer package even includes plugins to allow direct image editing with Paint-like tools. Whatever gave you the impression this is an Image Viewer?

I'm not using photo paper, I'm not arranging or printing multiple images at once, I'm not even printing to a color printer. Instead of trying to clarify the use case and offer suggestions to a new user the only two people who come out of the woodwork have no other aim than to shut me down as quickly as possible.

IMHO your assumptions and closed-minded attitude are a limitation to the potential usefulness of otherwise great software. Also, unfortunately, for the rest of your life... you probably won't be able to use your TV remote's channel/volume up/down buttons without thinking of me.
