Plugin Performance Impact

Heyo, I was wondering if plugins have any significant impact on performance of IrfanView.

Are there any downsides to hoarding all the plugins you can find?
Apart from the possible bloat of having plugins you don't need, diskspace, etc?
I'm mainly interested in added startup time and overall speed of things such as navigation, thanks

I don't think it will have any impact on the loading of IrfanView since the plugins will only be loaded when needed.

You can see for yourself from the Help menu, Installed plugins, that it takes a while to list them all. If they were already loaded on program startup, the list would be displayed instantly.
