Copying from Irfanview and pasting into an AOL email

I used to have an HP desktop where I could go into Irfanview, look up a photo on my C drive, crop a photo (e.g. to get a headshot of a certain person), copy, then go to AOL.com, pull up an email box, and paste it into the body of the email.

I replaced that system with an ASUS desktop and now I can do the above!

I can copy, but when I go to the AOL box...it won't PASTE!

WHAT DID IRFANVIEW? How can I get this done???

Start a new instance of IrfanView and paste the clipboard contents to check that you did copy successfully. If you did, then the problem likes with your email program, so ask AOL support.

I can paste an image copied to the clipboard from Irfanview into an email in both Thunderbird and Gmail without any problem. I had to use Ctrl+V to paste into Gmail because there is no obvious menu or toolbar option for it.
I think it is good advice to ask the question to AOL support. Unless AOL support has changed since the days when I used it you will first get back a list of FAQs that appears to have nothing to do with what you asked but a second email usually gets a sensible response.
