    "Save for Web" (?)

This was a plugin (but I forget the actual name), and then it was removed because it was "too large", and the creator wanted all of the plugins to be in one file, and there was some controversy about it because so many people liked it and used it (OFTEN -- like me).

Would it kill you to support external third-party plugins?? (like MOST software does)

This is basically a BUG in IfV as far as I'm concerned.

I think this is the MOST lacking feature in IfV.

Users who need RIOT can install it from the RIOT website. You can launch it from IrfanView as an External Program.

This doesn't achieve the same result as the old 'Save for Web' feature.

Using the external program option just re-opens the same file from, disk in another program, any edits that were done in Irfanview are ignored.
It's disappointing the professional disagreement between Irfan and RIOT went this far.
99% of what i did in Irfanview lead to using Save for Web and it's still annoying to have lost this.

For OP, the only practical way to get edits from Irfanview into RIOT is to select all with Ctrl + A and then open RIOT and paste.
