Solved Default Irfanview in Windows 8.1

How do I configure Irfanview as my default image viewer in Windows 8.1?
I had t set with XP, but can't do it in 8.1

You can do it in IrfanView. From the Options menu, Properties/Settings, Extensions.

In that dialogue, check every file type that you wish to associate with IrfanView. While you're there, edit the list of custom file types that you wish to load when browsing folders. By excluding some file types from this list you can make browsing smoother, e.g. by not loading video files, PDF, or EPS files.

If they are not associated with IrfanView they can still be opened with Drag and Drop, or if they are associated they can be opened with a double-click in Windows Explorer.
