Solved How to Add An Image Watermark via the Command Line?

Hi, is it possible to watermark images via the command line? Or could such a feature be added please?

I rename, shrink, upload, and sort locally image files via batch routines - but as I need to use the IrfanView GUI to watermark the photos, it necessitates three separate processes with the need to wait for each process to finish before manually proceeding to the next stage.

If it were possible to watermark via the command line, I could achieve the entire process via a single toolbar short cut.

I watermark my images with a png image in the bottom right corner, with no co-ordinate off-set, at 80% transparency.

    Thanks in anticipation!

You might want to wait for an answer from someone who is expert with command lines, but I think you just need to use the command:

/advancedbatch - apply Advanced Batch Dialog options to image (from INI file)

This will apply whatever options you last used from the Batch process (presumably including the overlay image).

    Let us know your results.

Thanks for your very prompt reply - and, yes, that works. Excellent. Thanks again.
