Unable to Change Text Colour

Since a couple of months, after an update, I no longer can change the color of a text. It sticks to red. Where I should click to cange it's lightgrey an doesn't react.
I allready reinstalled Irfan, but that doesn't help.
What is wrong? I'm using windows 8.1

Unable to reproduce here. Presumably you're just using Ctrl T to insert some text into the selected area?
