How do I extract pictures from or convert MOV files?

I have no idea how to make new post, so if someone could tell me, I'd be grateful.

I cannot convert an Irfanmov file to anything else. How do I do it? I need to find some way to grab pictures out of the movie file. I also need to convert it. Thank you.
