Is there a way to get a combination of tiled and panorama?

If I understand it correctly, always iffy, the panorama feature only generates a single row or a single column and the tiled feature only works with a single image. Right?

Is there any way to create a tiled image from a collection of images? I couldn't find much in the Help. There was a comment somewhere about using the thumbnail view, but I couldn't get anything to work.

The ideal solution for me would be to start with the thumbnail view, have an option to sort the images randomly, and then create a tiled collage. Is anything like that possible?

Select your images in the thumbnails and create a contact sheet from them. The hard part is calculating the sheet size, spacing, and margins to get what you want. Presumably you want no spacing and no text labels.

That works pretty well, thanks. For me, though, the perfect solution would be where instead of specifying the number of rows and columns, I can let the software figure that out for the most compact arrangement.
